I tried copying the enntire package of HP scanner software from my G5 onto a thumb drive, then installing it on the MacBook, but a dialogue box said that the MacBook Pro can't use PowerPC applications.A list of supported software seems to say the Scanjet 4850 works with OSX 10.7-but maybe the Scanjet only works with Power PCs, not Intel Macs?
