The activation-information-mode model suggests that dreams in which information that is accessed during waking hours can have an influence on the synthesis of dreams. In other words, when the brain is 'making up' a dream to explain its own activation, it uses meaningful bits a pieces of the person's previous day or last few days. Activation information mode model definition. Activation-Information-Mode Model (AIM) Dreams are influenced by events which occur during waking hours of life Hypnosis State of consciousness in which the person is especially susceptible to suggestion; can create amnesia, alter sensory perceptions, and improve memory Stimulants Drugs that increase the functioning of the nervous. In other words, during REM sleep, random waves of neurons are sent up from the brain stem and get synthesised into higher level information such as visual images and sounds - creating dreams. Development of the model – The AIM Model. If the activation synthesis theory seems a bit basic, that’s because it is (or was). The activation-synthesis model suggests that dreams are caused by the physiological processes of the brain. While people used to believe that sleeping and dreaming was a passive process, researchers now know that the brain is anything but quiet during sleep.
Issued as part of Universal France's Essentials of Cinema series, Serge Gainsbourg's soundtracks to Michel Colombier's 1968 Ce Sacre Grand-Pere, and Pierre Koralnik's scandalous Cannabis, are among the most startling pieces of music in his oeuvre. Cannabis was based around a tawdry thriller and was set by Pierre Koralnik in the free, lone-generation of the late '60s, and starred none other than Gainsbourg and wife Jane Birkin. The film, a kind of revenge tale, featured lots of gratuitous (real) sex and was a commercial flop. But its score is one of the most sophisticated pieces of music Gainsbourg ever conceived.
The CSAFE protocol is an open protocol specification used to interface with fitness equipment. I'm working on an improved training computer (embedded device using.Net MF) for my Concept2 rowing machine, and not having to first implement this protocol would be nice. Continue to use CSAFE protocol for most communications Addition of ANT's native 'Sensor Mode' to allow PC's and other devices to receive telemetry data from a users rowing session. One of the software vendor's request is located here.
It's a wondrously baroque and anthemic rock score with elements of Middle Eastern folk songs, and a pop cabaret joviality (courtesy of Jean-Claude Vannier's loopy song 'I Want to Feel Crazy,' sung by Birkin with a drugged-out string section). It was orchestrated for a complete army of electric guitars, harpsichord, strings, and the loudest bassline ever threaded through a French movie - truly amazing. The score to the Colombier film is tacked on as bonus material, and is far more traditional, but has enough pop/rock charm and nutty electric guitar and Hammond B3 play to make it a worthy add-on to Cannabis.
This is essential listening for any Gainsbourg or '60s soundtrack fan. In addition to the music are killer stills from Cannabis, and a brutally honest translated interview with Koralnik.SampleTitle/ComposerPerformerTime1.
